Well, no surprise, how much does SOD use its stars in VR? Once a year, and lately, only for r*** movies and f***rced sex, as has happened with Tadai Mahiro's new VR, after 4 years of absence....
I've never understood what's so attractive about a camera that makes you feel like you're inside an earthquake. It's dizzy and you don't see anything.
But it's Dass, this studio always spoils movies for me. I've been waiting for 2 years for them to release an 8K Matsumoto Ichika VR without clothes and oils, but nothing. And for once they decide to do just that, and on top of that with Yazawa Receive, my favorite director.... Instead of using Ichika, They use an actress with plastic tits....
I've seen it, but I've already bought all the ones I'm interested in.... Since I buy my favorite titles on release day to support them, I have nothing left for the sales...

Oh, great! I was waiting for it!! She is gorgeous. It's actually her third VR (she's on IPVR-276 and IPVR-283), but one is 4K and the other is a soapland, so I was waiting for a new title like this....
I watched Sasaki Saki's VR yesterday (IPVR-286) and the second scene is a joy. This model really feels it, her gestures of pleasure are sincere, and she's also very pretty. The face to face scenes are pure gold.
In the last few months, Idea Pocket VR is my favorite studio. Although watching its movies, I have noticed that they have no plot, or a very light one. They only spend a couple of minutes to the intro. In films like Sasaki Saki,'s not even that, it starts directly with a blowjob...

Kisariiga Lisa is great, but I hope she shoots with Kawaii or Unfinished. SAVR and KMP always disappoint. They always lack something.

Those are all SOD's thing, I don't think the others did something similar. I think that might be the only one with a mirror on both sides though. IIRC, the others only had 1 mirror. They're all massage themed. Your masseuse gives you a happy ending while your partner gets the same on the other side.
The ones I am aware of are DSVR-814 with Ogura Yuna who is significantly hotter than your GF. And DSVR-883 which I found very weird because I would rather be doing the other girl (the GF in the video) than the masseuse. I mean the masseuse just has bigger boobs but your GF is that slim hottie Toujou Natsu.

They didn't give the girl's name for this but it looks like Natsuki...err Ouka Rin as a hotel concierge who is willing to go the extra mile when it comes to customer satisfaction. Was looking forward to that as well but... too bad that SOD has completely botched their recent 8k releases. Atleast the 8k versions of 3DSVR-1675 and 3DSVR-1652 seem to be compromised. Not the first time that they fuck up
These releases look weird, the picture is not sharp and falls off completely with objects further away from the camera. The 4k version looks more like what you would expect, but something is definitely wrong with the 8k version. It's also true for both the A Festa and Fanza versions I think (see the one comment on A Festa on 1652). So don't buy these releases or try refunding them.
I did like her hairy, but it doesn't bother me if now it's paipan. Since it's censored it's not very relevant to me. If I could see everything I would care more, I would like some models hairy and others shaved.

You were missed...Yes, it's true, I bought Ena's movie the other day (3DSVR-1652) and the 8K version from minute 20 onwards is pixelated, it looks even worse than at 4K. I sent an email to A Festa and they have confirmed that it's broken. They even sent me a couple of screenshots showing the pixelization (which was not necessary because I had already told them...
). They told me that they are going to fix it, to be patient and wait a few days... So let's see if they deliver.Merry Christmas to all!!!

To me the best movie in weeks. Funny that it was made by ZAMPA and Kawaii. The first KAVR I have watched in month actually. But if they deliver they do so on the highest level. Cute girl, and they let her do her thing, her personality shines through or at least they prepare her in a way that it seems like that. Her dialogue and how the movie developed was very natural. All without the awkwardness from a debut like it is often the case with S1 for example. Also the movie was very immersive, the angles on point and no weird distractions with costumes, gal outfits or damn oil, thank you.

Good to see that there is still an effort been made to deliver new ideas and concepts to VR with the focus on immersion. I think most studios and creators forget or don't understand that immersion is what it eventually comes down to. I don't wanna watch from afar, I don't care about 2D porn for that reason, or even in VR I don't like the voyeur concept of observing two people having sex or the girl being 1 meter away from the camera at all time. So instead all the effort should be focused on giving the viewer the illusion to be inside the movie, getting the girl closer to the camera while maintaining a good view, that ultimately sets VR apart to me. And on that concept AJVR-250 actually delivers a unique experience. You get extremely close while exploring Azu Amatsuki's awesome body all under a blanket, fun stuff and they actually manage to make that wok. I hope that the few capable creators like Receive take the time to do more like this in 2025 and take some risks.

I have to say that I'm getting more and more used to the quality that A Festa delivers, 80 or 100mbit/s options should be the standard on 8k. It was especially apparent to me with those two S1 releases. While it was fun seeing Mei Washio and Aika Yumeno in a proper face to face missonary for the first time, the extremely low bitrate S1 delivers was lacking and took away some of the fun for me. I don't understand why they do this. In some scenes the background was just a pixelated mess and overall the picture quality was simply not good enough. Why is the file size on Fanza's 8k often smaller then on the 4k releases? They charge more for the 8k release but seemingly hate their customers...? I hope this will somehow change soon, but I have my doubts.
Finally I also liked the two movies from Unfinished with Koharu Shiina (URVRSP-394 and URVRSP-393). Nothing more to say, but solid work.

They told me a couple of days ago that they will fix it in the next few days, but I don't know if they'll let me know or not. I will be downloading it every few days, when I see that they have fixed it, I will let you know.
If it's something from A Festa, I'm sure they'll fix it, as you said they already fixed one with low bitrate that I asked them for. If it's a SOD thing, I see it more difficult, because they don't care about it.
Well, basically, your list, we have twin tastes.... I would only add the Mitani Akari's title (HNVR-140), and IPVR-286 with Sasaki Saki.

I also liked KAVR-400, the actress is very cute and surprisingly natural, although she needs a visit to the dentist.
That's my definition of VR, word by word. It's a daily struggle, because the trend is increasingly toward just the opposite.
Anything less than feeling inside the movie, “feeling” the girl next to you, to me is a waste of VR. Unfortunately, that's the way 80% of VR movies are, just watching a meter away.
I also enjoyed it very much. I think I could live forever inside of Azu Amatsuki's clothes.....

Aika Yumeno already had some, but this last one is the best, and the movie is pretty good too. But the image quality is a disgrace. It's not that they're not getting better, it's that they're getting worse. Those two VR movies you mention, or KAVR-400, look worse than the 8K of previous months, because they have even less bitrate, some scenes only 11 Mbps, they don't even reach 15 Mbps anymore....
That a movie of an hour and a half at 8K takes 7 or 8 GB, says it all. They are not fooling anyone with “modern codecs take less”, because it is a big lie. You only need to compare an A Festa 8K title at 80 Mbps with those two 8K titles from S1 you mention. Night & day. They even look blurry, being 8K...
I don't understand what Fanza is looking for with this either, if it's that they despise VR, or 8K hasn't been the sales push they were hoping for. People have been complaining since day 1 about the very low bitrate, but they haven't listened. On the contrary, they are getting worse... But on the other hand, 4K 2D movies take 25 GB... And we get 8K movies in 7 or 8 GB... It's a shame. As I said, the difference between the 8K versions of Fanza and A Festa, is to go from watching video to real image. And that in VR is key. With 8K VR Fanza movies, unfortunately, we're still watching video.

Unfihished usually does one scene with clothes and one without, but in these they don't take them off in the whole movie....
At least Chewbaka will enjoy them, although I don't know if he likes these models....

Ok, I often meme about it but never explain. ZAMPA is certainly capable and he works with the premium studios (Kawaii, Moodyz, Idea Pocket,...). If he would work with some B-tier studios I would not care and never mention him, but he often spoils the movies that matter to me. My biggest gripe with him is the usage of oil. It might be true what you say that the studios mostly dictate how a movie should look and what to be done. But I also believe that the director has influence on that or in some cases he can do what he wants with the girl. With him it too often feels like it ends with excessive oil in +80% of cases. I understand that in some movies they don't take off clothes, it's a mainstream thing. But I don't get that oil is so common and with ZAMPA it tends to end up like that almost every time. To me these movies become unwatchable for that. If I see ZAMPA as the director for an upcoming release and see the slightest indication of oil on the cover I literally go
and move on to the next thing.The eternal strugge. I don't see this kind of trend you are mentioning. My believe is that it was always bad for +90% of releases. Maybe now JAV VR occupies more smaller studios that don't have the capacity to deliver such an experience in the first place and they don't even try to improve. These studios miss in 100% of cases. On the other hand creating something really immersive is not easy and requires some kind of craftmanship and technical understanding on the equipment and so on. For that reason it will stay that way in the future I believe. What has improved is the addition of the face-to-face missonary. Even Fitch and Honnaka have started using it. They also have improved in general. On the other hand KMP has evolved backwards. They now use this outdated raised pillow setup, only seen in western D-tier releases:

Yep, I only took the two S1 releases as an example. But it's true, KAVR-400 and other FANZA 8k movies from different studios also have that issue. It even goes so far that now not just objects further away from the camera but also the face and body of the girl gets some smearing and pixelation. This is completely unacceptable. At this point they should charge less for the 8k version not double. Like I said before it makes a huge difference to me. So much so that now I'm mostly looking forward to releases from SOD. If they hit a home run you know you are getting the actual premium experience. Well that is if they don't fumble and fuck up like they did with 3DSVR-1652...

Again, I don't see a trend here. They always had releases in the rotation with clothes and the upcoming URVRSP-404 looks good to me. They have cut back on releasing in general though which is a shame.
Ah, OK, I understand you. I'm not a fan of oil, either. Although I'm somewhat more tolerant of it than I am of clothes, if there is no excess. Moodyz and S1 have been using it massively all 2024, one of the reasons I haven't been able to enjoy a single movie of their stars in all the year. They've all been either clothed or oiled.
Luckily Mei Washio's VR has been saved, if they trash that one for me after waiting 3 years, I'm dead....
Well, I have detected a loss of immersion, precisely because these months I didn't like the new releases, and I have returned to my collection, revisiting titles from a couple of years ago.
I have noticed in some studios, or maybe in some directors, that two years ago the camera was 10 centimeters closer, or there were more immersive things like hugs, whispers in the ear, armpit licking, nipple licking, seated cowgirl on her back, which are now less common.
It is true that the face-to-face missionary has improved. Thank all the gods top studios like S1, Moodyz, Idea Pocket, Kawai, Unfinished use it as a standard, and as you say some like Fitch, E-body or Honnaka, are incorporating it. So it has been improved. For me it is a must. I don't watch movies anymore that don't have a close missionary.
I hate that tilted shot with several pillows on the back. As you say it's artificial, and the camera is still far away. That shot is the one SAVR uses the most, and also VRKM. It has ruined dozens of movies for me. The main reason I don't buy their films.
Yes, it's true, URVRSP-404 looks good. If they alternate VRs with and without clothes I accept it, not everything has to suit my tastes. But that they advertise two movies with clothes with three actresses that I like quite a lot has annoyed me. They could have done it with any of the other actresses that have debuted with Unfinished these months, almost none of them have caught my attention. For me Unfinished has lost a lot, both in models and immersion.
Also, seeing two films with clothes, I'm afraid that they will follow JAV VR's trending of spending months the same way. That's what Moodyz and S1 have been doing with their star actresses throughout 2024. Let's hope Unfinished doesn't do the same, and alternate.
