Cubase, I'll start by saying I'm not the best source of information on this but I noticed that there had been no response so let me give you my experience. In the configs you have have Javluv referance you local file if it finds nothing online. More on that in a sec. I don't have the program installed because I've had some issues that I'm working on so my response is from memory. With the results you can manually add data like an actresses name and then if you do a name search you will find that title. As far as taking a title from scratch and manually adding all of the data and cover I don't think that option exists. As for what Javluv finds when trying to build a database entry my understanding is that the remote sites that the program searches have various methods to prevent scraping their site. Personally I'm a little curious about the logic of that, sure at first the program may have an impact on their bandwith but it is a one-time deal and then they don't have to worry about that individual endlessly referancing their site and consequently using a LOT more bandwith ultimately. But I digress, with the counter-scraping software these sites are preventing Javluv from doing what it is designed to do. My experience is that even with these limitations the program is still very successful and any shortfalls I can gratefully live with. That said I know that Tmpguy, the programs` developer, is working on improving these issues but he has limited time to focus on that. I don't mind saying that I check in here almost daily hoping that there will be a breakthrough but that said I will suggest to hang in there, there's light on the horizon. LIke I already said, I am not the best source of info on this subject so hopefully someone with better knowledge than I will respond. Cheers and welcome to the community.
Call one Say AUG-001 and just call the other AUG-001 [Subs] or whatever as long as its a different name after the Movie ID. I use a few like [60FPS] [SUBS] [RM].
Make sure they are in the same folder or the second one scanned wont be acknowledged but flagged in the error log after scanning. Also if adding the file after the first one then right click the movie is the thumbnail view and click rescan.
If Im understanding you right, you want the full cover as in front and back to show? I dont think thats possible, Im sure TMPGuy added in a feature that auto crops the cover which most of us want. I could be wrong but im pretty sure thats how it works.
If you dont want some movies added to the library the I just keep them in a folder that isnt scanned. I think theres also a feature to stop movies being added automatically.
About a Month ago TmpGuy posted that he that he had a solution, or a tentative one, with respect to being able to scrape javlibrary and some others. My recollection is that he thought he may have a workaround but just had to iron out the bugs. I know that this project is a demand on his time and has to be back-burnered in favor of other obligations. That said though, I check here just about every day to see if there's an updated version of JavLuv and so far I have seen no activity. My reason for writing is not to do a 'are we there yet' number or to in any way try to compel TmpGuy, My only reason for writing is with all the crap that's been going on at my end I was worried that maybe I missed a post or link for the update, if one exists. If I haven't missed 'the memo', there's no need to respond but if I missed something would someone let me know, THanks muchly..
No. He hasnt posted a new version or update im afraid, I expect the new anti-scraper is harder to circumvent that he first thought. Javluv has auto update also if you have it enabed and also you can bookmark the github page and just reference version number from there.
That's perfect Moxy. I hadn't noticed the autoupdate DUH! I tend to turn off autoupdate with software but I do have it checked. With luck he'll eventually have that eureka moment I'm sure but in the mean time I'm ok to somewhat patiently hang in there. Thanks for the response Moxy.

I have a weird behavior that I don't understand !!
I'm manually trying to add covers with the following option: right click on the missing picture, I select "Import cover Image..." option, then I select the picture I want to upload.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not !! I have no clue why as all pictures are in the same jpg format.
Any idea ?

Usually I encountered this when the covers is taken from javseen. If it is the case, then you need to check if the cover image you want to show in JavLuv already be in the same folder with the movie files. Then go to your C drive, look in the Javluv in the AppData, go to thumbnail folder. Search and delete the covers which is currently showing on JavLuv (in this case the covers which is not intended to be shown). Then restart the JavLuv, I do this workaround everytime the cover is taken from javseen.
Hi all, sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I've been very busy with my job this month, plus I was out sick a week, and just haven't had much time to deal with issues here. I'm hoping to have time to finish up JavLuv updates this weekend, if all goes well. Or at the very least, make some more progress on it. As I said, preliminary tests have worked well, so I'm fairly optimistic. Right now I'm trying to get my automated tests working again, which due to technical differences in the new web scraper, have to be rewritten in a different way.
As for cover images not updating, I recently discovered this bug myself. It's due to the software not updating the cached image. You can work around this by finding and deleting the image in the cache, as mentioned, but hopefully I'll have a proper fix soon, as this is kind of a pain.

Sorry, for the moment this is a Windows-only app. Someday I'd like to rewrite this app using Avalonia UI instead of WPF, which would let me create apps for Mac, Linux, mobile, and web in addition to Windows. But that would be a massive undertaking, so unfortunately, it's not happening any time soon.
Quick update on JavLuv. Overall, I've made pretty good progress replacing the guts of the web scraper with a proper internal web browser. It's generally working pretty well, but I've got a few rough edges to fix. JavLibrary scraping occasionally fails, due to the difficulty of detecting when I've landed on the correct page. I also need to debug some other error cases, including timeouts, so the process doesn't hang completely on failure, etc. Oh, and I'll need to update the installer as well.
This new scraper currently has no interface, like the current scraper. Eventually, I'd like to be able to detect and display when a website needs some interaction, like JavLibrary's "check if you're a human" page. For now, users will still occasionally need to visit that site to clear that check. I'll work on more advanced features after the basics are solid.
So, good news! Give me, say, another week or two, and JavLuv should have a properly working scraper again.

Another update: I've got the scraper mostly working. The last major issue to deal with is the WebView2 component I'm using doesn't seem to work properly when it's run from the typical Program Files folder, which has more restricted permissions than when it's run from other locations. Unfortunately, the documented solution doesn't seem to be working for me, so I'm going to have to spend some time debugging this and trying to figue out what else I can do. Hopefully I'll solve the issue this weekend, but it's always kind of hard to predict how long it will take to solve an unknown technical problem like this.
Good job man. JavLibrary is fickle and annoying to use even without a scrapper. Even on a browser, that page constantly requires us to captcha to verify we're human or sometimes fails to load even completely and than that cloudflare page pops up.
