You are correct, javr. The password that is written here:
https://www.freeserver.today/todaybam/5778583
doesn't work in winrar (I use version 3.80) but if you use 7zip, all but one file will be unzipped.
So there's no problem. Anyway, newer versions of winrar should do the same.
The method that Edmondd suggests will work if what you want to do is to copy the Korean text into a txt file. If the file you have is already named what you wrote in your message there's no method available for conversion.
Good luck.

Here are the second uncensored hour of Suzu Ichinose and the BD version of the 4 scenes.
Scene 2 in the 1 hour file is one of the best soap and oil scenes I've seen.
I hope you'll like it.
As for the BD version, all scenes but the last one are cut.
This scene is scene 1 in 022517-381. The BD version is 2 minutes longer.
Enjoy.

use notepad++ => Encoding => Convert to UTF-8

Thanks, this actually works!

Next, I'll be looking into the method you suggest OCRing chinese hardsubs.
Have been looking into an effective way to do that, until I stumble upon the massive korean subtitle pack.

Finally, asking a favour from fellow users,
can someone re-up Sora Aoi's SOE-339 SOE-556 subtitles and/or any of her others?
Many thanks.

If you're just taking Chinese subtitles (or Korean, etc.) and translating them to English because you're not familiar enough with Japanese, you have pretty much no way of knowing how accurate they are.
It's still very time-consuming and that time could be better spent actually learning Japanese.

I'm working on subtitle project. I don't speak Japanese and I'm stumped by one part. It's only 29 seconds but is very important to understand.
Can anyone tell me what the man says in the attached MP3 clip.

According to their rates at https://erojapanese.com/ they do not translate movies that came out before 2013. Anyone know why this is? And who else can I turn to to get a movie translated that was released before 2013. I want to get MVSD-001 subtitled.

Thanks,

Refox is no longer user friendly. Unless you upload, you don't get points. Comments don't get you points. The "free" subtitles now deduct 10 points each download.
Unless you've collected a h*ll of a lot of points, it's time to look elsewhere. Such a shame.

Okay... Didn't see that in the messages the board moderator posted.
Still, the rules changed drastically. From what I can tell they have prohibited uploading of subtitles from K*kudas and other places. Only subtitles you've translated yourself are permitted.
Do I have that right?

I don't know, I use google translate.

Do you know where to get subtitles from K*kudas ? Does the pack sub from refox have all the K*kudas sub?

The pack has a lot of subtitles. I don't know if all are there but the date on the newest one is April 19.
If you download the torrent called [정리중] PM12시30분 기준.torrent mentioned on page 18 you get subtitles up until July 03. I believe this torrent contains all subs from the pack (1793) and some more (2440). There were several more uploaded at Red*ox but I don't know if they're available anywhere else.

I can explain. I am Korean and I am familiar with Redfox's situation.
They are trying to add rank based sharing where if you are higher rank, you get subs faster than others.
Also, you are permitted to upload the subs you created on one of the forum called 자막제작(유저) and 제작자막배포
you can upload any previous kukudas subtitle in 무료자막.
Many users complained after the site renewal, so i think right now, they removed rank based system for now but they are on hold.
if you have any more question shoot me

Thank you for that explanation, kwanp1220.
I will have to check if posting will increase my points. Logging in today didn't change the number from yesterday.

It depends on who made the sub. Most of the sub is translation from chinese sub to korean, but some users like tkfkdgody, quria, ddondane1, sezong, kaizer seems like they translate from raw japanese but i am not 100% sure.

I have done some auto-translation with the korean pack. Those that I worked with, the timings are really good. People who understand Japanese can really make use of them as a starting base, and work on the translation for a good sub.

I have also successfully "soften" the chinese hardsub for my HD version of the videos using the method Edmondd guided.
Most if not all of the chinese hardsubs that I've seen are over simplification of the dialogue.

By looking at the filesize of the subs, I think you can get a hint at where the source are from.
