Happy New Year ! ... all !
I just wanted to say hello! I'm not too happy to see that this thread is no longer so animated! ... I have many friends here ... even people with whom I had opposite opinions (but not enemies ... only people with opinions different from mine) ... but I missed them all and I wanted to be more active here !

Here is a massive zip file of various subtitles in Korean:

https://www.freeserver.today/todaybam/5778583

You'll find the fileshare link towards the top of the post. The password is in the comments at the bottom. After downloading and extracting, you can use a free .smi-to-.srt converter on the internet to change the .smi files, then use Google Translator Toolkit to translate whatever .srt file you want to English. There are a whole lot of great subtitles that translate out pretty decent.

Hi, that link no longer seems valid and I'd really like to get a copy of the archive to see if there is anything useful for me. Do you have an updated link or any chance you could upload a copy somewhere?

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a sub file that when the movie is playing, it shows numbers ans, I assume, placement but not the verbiage. For example, this is the text from the sub:
"3
00:00:23,500 > 00:00:25,092
I reunited with my teacher."

Unfortunately, what shows on the screen is NOT "I reunited with my teacher." as expected, but rather "500 > 00:00:25,092". This is repeated throughout the sub/movie.

I know very little about tweaking the sub files although I spent more than an hour once manually changing the times listed to try to sync it to account for more than a minute of ads at the beginning. (I won't do that again!)

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to correct this? How do a adjust the sub file so that what is shown during the movie is the actual dialog, not that (assumed) positional data?

Thank you, in advance, for any help you can give me.

3. Next Select and copy the translated text into a notepad file. My experience has been that chrome screws a few thing up with the srt format
when it translates, use REPLACE function to fix them

4. Replace all "->" with " -->"
5. Replace all ": " with ":"

6. Also look at the subtitle numbers in the single digits and the twenties, Chorme may have translated the numerical symbol into the text name (ie subtitle 5 gets labeled "Five" instead of "5", just manually change all the text numbers back to their numeric symbols then save the notepad file.

7. Finally rename the saved notepad .txt file to a .srt file, give it the same name as the movie file and drop it in the same directory.

You might have to replace “>” with “—>”

If you can't fix it with what avatarthe wrote, you can send me the file and I can try to fix it for you.

For the future I would recommend SubtitleEdit for manipulation of subtitle files. May look overwhelming at first but is pretty simple.

... it's very correct what @avatarthe explains to you ... but, I would like to add that you should do all this with notepad ++ (not with notepad ... simple (it's much more professional ... and it makes the changes to all subtitles open at the same time in notepad ++ ... with CTRL + H - you open the dialog box, where you make the replacements ... I suggest you open a good subtitle and your subtitle ... and you get the right subtitle what you need for example: “:” - which is not correct to have a pause, so you replace it with “:” ... or “>” (from wrong srt) and replaced with “->” (from good subtitles) ... and if you choose to replace this in the whole document, or even in all open subtitles ... everything happens in 1-2 seconds ... even renumbering can be done automatically in notepad ++ ... so use notepad ++

Adjusting the subs times to sync with videos with ads at the beginning is a very easy, and fast process. It should take no more than a couple minutes.
If you want me to explain how to do it quickly, let me know.

Hello,
Seeing as this thread is active once again. I am posting my half-machine & half-manually translated subtitles for MIAD-229 featuring Hina Nanase and GVG-192 featuring Lily, both of which are really solid JAV actresses.

Also, it would be great if anyone can share the subtitles for JUX-368, which I have been searching for sometime as it is one of my favorite movies featuring Lily. Also, if anyone has any other movies featuring Lily and can share them, that would be really amazing.

I'm done with the next fetish subtitle from V&R Planning. Like before I only had automatically generated subtitles as a base so it was a lot of work to get it to an acceptable level. I'm getting faster at making them but this movie has twice as much dialog as the last release (500 lines vs 1000 lines), so it still took three days... and overall the dialog seemed to be more complex...

The Speech-To-Text APIs failed me again and I had to transcribe at least 10% by hearing myself. Sometimes I just couldn't make out what they were saying or I couldn't find the words they were using... That is the reason why some dialog portions may not sound so well because I had to improvise.

Like in my last releases, I tried to translate all important captions, I added the names of the actressess, I tried to translate the funny puns that are used in this movie and I tried to translate the outtakes.

(Warning: This is a fetish release and centers heavily around scat)

Feedback in this thread or via PM would be appreciated!

Thank you very much, avatarthe! I will try that.

Did I miss the first 2 lines of your suggestion? It seems to start at "3."

Again, thank you!!

I was copying the relevant portion from an older post, for your issue step 1 and 2 are not needed, start with step 3
