Handyman, try changing to the blue theme. See if that helps. If it does, then the problem is with the dark theme. If not, it's something else.

The only thing I can add is that Akiba-Online isn't really for "asian" things, but for Japanese specifically. The main concern is copyright. Although it's not as strictly enforced as it could be, that was always the idea. Other than that, the text seems OK.

Sounds good. Actually since most traffic comes from Japan it should probably be the priority, but any language is good. I think Thailand is second in terms of traffic.

There's already a captcha systemem for new user registration. Either the bots have sophisticated OCR abilities, or they are being manually registered. More likely the latter is true.

The server itself should be able to handle the load and the pipe on the server should be able to handle the bandwidth (just about) I have tweaked the php slightly, so that MySQLi automatically reconnects itself when it goes down. HOPEFULLY that will stop the connection errors. If not...
