There are still facts to comment, like Kitty Media used screenshots of a "cut" scene in episode 1 on the DVD back cover. Second fact is that they claim 8 episodes, whereas it was always considered as 4 episodes (as Anime18 merged them two by two + edited them) in the older releases.

We have found an uncut version for the 1995 series (eps 1-4), but not for the 1997 series (eps 5-8).

I've always thought that since the english dub is based on the cut version, it can't be restored. But I may be wrong.

There was some speculation on 2ch about it, but nothing came out so far.

Well someone said they spoke with John Sirabella, CEO of Media Blasters at Anime Boston and confirmed the Anime 18 version of Twin Angels.

I found Ita dub Mail Order Maiden 28 censored but uncut, there may be somewhere a japanese version, I don't know.

I can only confirm what pukidesu said. The scene (exactly 4 s) is not present in the R1 DVDrips. So what really happened?

This is my interpretation:

In Japan, Nankyoku 28-Go (which is by the way pun on the Tetsujin 28-Go famous series) was first a softcore manga made by U-Jin, a specialist in this kind of productions. It got an anime adaptation by Sente Studio, and was released on VHS and LD. As you can see in the cover attached, the title is classified 15+, not 18+. This means no explicit genital drawings can be shown.

In the anime, they used all the usual tricks, "laser sabers", symbolism, funny camera angles, except for this particular shot, which has mosaics. But the mosaics are drawn ON THE PICTURE. This means it is part of the original cels. So it can pass for a 15+ title this way, in Japan...

Now the title gets imported in USA. And the producers see this funny mosaics, unable to remove it (as it is part of the pic). So what next? They just removed the shot altogether. This is only 4 seconds, but this is still an edit. Funnily enough, the ending itself show this shot. andalaugh:

The title was also imported in Italy, released on VHS as "Superbambola 28" with no actual cut.

That problem was pointed out long ago by now-dead Animeprime, but we were unable to find a japanese or italian source, until now.

I checked the whole episode, and there are no other visible cuts. Without any R2J DVD release, I'm afraid it will be hard to make a full uncut video with japanese audio. For the record, there are few cases similar to this one:

Dragon Pink episode 2 :
A well known R1 "censored" episode. All the censored scenes have the same "mosaics ON PICTURE" thing, check the faerie scene to be convinced.

The legend of Reyon - The God of Darkness/Shin Reyon Densetsu - Shikkoku no Majin :
No uncensored master was ever delivered abroad, so for the two releases of this episode, distributor chose first to hide the mosaics by making slow motion around them, then Happy Carrot just released it censored...

About dragon pink ep.2 anidb said that exist uncensored german dub version by http://board.world-of-hentai.to. Maybe you have it guys? I could not find it on Woh.

haha, of course you cannot find it at WoH, except you have done 20 senseful posts, otherwise the access to that section is blocked...

I try to dl it now anyway, as I am a mod at WoH too that´s no problem for me...

elgringo14 has access to that section too.

It is a problem to post it here though, as it is US licensed material...

It seems there is no uncensored version of ep.2 Dragon pink. But perhaps uncensored version exist in spanish vhs. Hispanime team took the spanish sound to its release from vhs.

About the last posts:

- Twin Dolls has never been reported to have edits/cuts. It was released by a different company (Softcel/ADV Films) than Twin Angels (Anime18/CPM). Plus with the recent DVD release, you have everything you need.

- Dragon Pink 2 DOES NOT EXIST UNCENSORED. The mosaics have been DRAWN on cels. Look carefully, it's not the usual filter superimposed on normal drawings. The french DVD release is censored. I cannot say about VHS rips, but most likely it is the case too.

Two files are wrongly assigned uncensored on anidb: one french DVDrip of the complete series (as ep 1/3 are uncensored), and a file from World-of-Hentai. :thief:

can someone post some pictures from the cut version of fencer of mienrva 1? i'm curious as it said some panshots were cut earlier so wanted to see the difference without buying the dvd straight away for caps

Episode 1 has few cuts in the scene when Diana (the titular heroine) is aroused in the nomads camp, the shots of fingers rubbing Diana's insides (which you don't really see anyway) are removed. In total there are 6-7 seconds missing. Not much, but for me it is really annoying. All cuts are exactly like in the screenshot attached, from the french DVDrip (which has no japanese dub unfortunatly).

In general the series is not explicit enough to suffer other cuts. It got a 17+ certificate in USA for a good reason.

ah so its just those shots? i was told that some of the external panshots cut before panning down past certain 'areas' but if not thanks for saving me a dvd purchase =)

Reviving this epic thread, since I reuploaded the missing scene of Dragon Rider for the fans, I hope I can work on this title for a "complete" version later this year (and La Blue Girl as well):
