I got it in the main body under the section mount Google drive icon on the left side.
Comments and Questions
1. Excellent directions and very easy to use once you use the tool and know the layout.
2. AviDemux to create the acc audio file is easy and fast.
3. Using Whisper from the cloud takes about little more than 1 hr to create the srt file in Japanese. I guess Colab Google put on a timer and to have to verify when it times out.
4. Last step I used Subtitle Edit to convert srt Japanese to srt English
Question
1. When using the Whisper on the Cloud link who owns this link? What happened if the link no longer available in the future? I guessing the owner owns the code
2. When I run setup Whisper and run Whisper....I'm assuming I'm downloading the code from the link and using the instant on my browser? Can I run multiple instants using multiple Chrome Browsers or does it have to be Chrome and Firefox?
3. Number of users accessing Whisper link should not matter right?
4. Why translation_mode = No translation? I accidentally left the default value and noticed it created the srt in English for me....is it not accurate?

2. It runs on a remote pc, not on your pc or browser. In theory you can run multiple at once but it might be limited per ip too. If it's not limited and too many people abuse it, there's a high chance it will become limited in the future.
3. The numbers of people who can access it depends on the hardware they have. Whisper requires a dedicated gpu to do its thing so you're limited to how many physical GPU they put at our disposition.

anw: You will never get a good .srt on a single run because whisper isn't that good. Run the full length file for the first time, then check srt again, rerun the incorrect segments for the next times.
1. You can create a google account (I'm assuming that you've already have one) and save the content of Colab to your account. It's just a python code file.
2. Whisper run on Google Cloud, not on your pc. They limit daily usage for each account, so you should change to other google account to continue to use it.
4. I believe google translate better than any other translation engine, so I use google instead of whisper or deepL engine.
For 1. Do I just click on the button "Copy to drive" or File>Save a copy in drive?

I need some help. For me it doesnt show the path and only the google link to my audio file. What am i doing wrong?

I'm not sure. The google drive folder should show up in left panel. Please try again.
You may have to right click on the left-hand side, in the navigation menu, and go to "Refresh". Sometimes, if you've just mounted Google Drive, it may take a minute or two for your files to show up automatically. Right-click and refresh and it should show up sooner.
It should show the folder as "drive", then you can navigate through that, find your files, then right-click and "copy file path" on your desired file.
In case you accidentally get backed into the root folder, the "drive" folder is in the "contents" folder. contents>drive>your folders and files.

Just wanted to share that I had been using Google's Translate app to help with personal subs I've been wanting to clean up post-Whisper translation, but Google's Translate app seems to be pretty bad at hearing and picking up Japanese and then tends to go completely schizophrenic after prolonged use (like translating random words). After an exit and restart, it gets okay again for some translation, but I always usually have to re-interpret what it thinks it hears. Same with the browser version of the app.
After some frustration with Google's Translate app, I decided to try Microsoft's Translator app. It felt like night and day. Microsoft's Translator app was giving me much more coherent audio-to-text translation much more consistently. I usually translate the same line of dialogue a few times to make certain the translation is picking up right, but the translations seem much more plot relevant than what Google was spitting out.
A few notes:

- My sad method of translation is to use the app on my phone and leave it close to my PC speaker to pick up audio. I'm that desperate for a translation.
- I try to let the recording of audio go as long as it can to see if there are distinct thoughts/sentences. If I do pick up multiple sentences, I go back and try to isolate by ear and demeanor of the speaker. I do this because if you translate just the first few words of a sentence/thought as opposed to the entire thing, the translation can vastly change. Yeah, this is far from plug and play, but it's the best I can do not being educated in Japanese.
- This isn't for everybody. Just those who don't know the Japanese language well and want some key lines translated. Whisper misses lines of dialogue here and there, sometimes during pivotal scenes, and this has helped me fill in the gaps.
- The pro of Google's Translate vs Microsoft's Translator app is that Google shows you the Japanese it is translating in Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana and the Romanized (latin phonetic spelling) version. Microsoft only shows the Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana version. Seeing the Romanized version just helps you identify if it is picking up the right words to translate or not. In Google's case, it usually thinks it's hearing something else and translating that instead of what you want it to translate.
