This promotion is over.

From now on, all posts for any download links on akiba-online must contain a SubyShare link. You can post other hosts too, but it must include SubyShare link(s). This includes reposts of dead files.

All other rules, like the "no premium-only posts" rule or the double post rule still apply.

Posts or threads found to be violating this new rule will be deleted, and repeat offenders will see infractions followed by suspensions or worse.

This rule includes all DDL subforums.

If you see a thread or poster violating this rule, please use the report button.

Finally, an end to the money grabbing, 20GB per day, low download speed of Keep2Share!
I hope SubyShare is a step in the right direction.

I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing.

All those users who never upload anything and bought k2s and/or fboom premium will probably not like this. And now I have to by another premium as well.

What hoster are we going to use in February 2015 (that is 6 months from now - about the same time k2s/fboom was mandatory)?

oh boys ...

what for a mammoth debate and flip-flopping about the file hosts  - for me, and i think for many, many other members her in this board prefer the following file host's -> uploadable.ch, bitshare & freakshare ;) but that's my opinion and i think not only my opinion :p;)

After checking out the site, I say it's a bad thing(for uploaders at least).

The good is that traffic for premium users has doubled(it's 40GB a day according to their website).
Also, free(registered) user have a decent speed of 500KBs, but can only download 2GB a day.

But as an uploader, it's a nightmare.
-Storage is limited to 49GB using a free(registered) account(Having premium would make it bigger than 1000GB, but I don't plan on getting a premium account since I don't download much). 200GB would at least be a decent number.
-The only way to upload is via the website with javascript so it has to be done manually, there's no way to run a script to upload via an API or FTP. Premium user also have remote upload, but it has the same limitations so I couldn't even get around this major problem with a premium account.
-There's no way to grab the links via a script since javascript is used(so I can't use curl to grab the page) and they provide no API for it.

It doesn't look like I'll be able to post much with this new host(and it will take me a lot longer when I do post) so I hope they'll change things or I'll have to hope it doesn't last long.
It would be nice to have an host that's has good for downloaders as it is for uploaders.

You simply have to buy Premium to use remote downloading(it's not available if you simply register a free account).

At least that's what I understand from the website.

Hello all,
Im admin of subyshare.com ,nice to meet you here.
May I answer some questions now ,I hope we will have a good service for both uploaders and downloaders ,and We will try my best to serve all the needs .

@To all : we are providing a trial period of free upgrading premium for 30 days for every uploaders here ,feel free to open a ticket here with your Subyshare account 's username. We will try to solve it fast.

http://tickets.subyshare.com/open.php

@To SamCook and SJDA : you can use the FTP upload right now after register ,I noticed it in the News tab a long time ago.

-FTP upload : use Filezilla client, login with your normal username and password
Hostname : ftp.subyshare.com
Username : your username
Password : your password

Also you can use Web upload ,Remote upload instead.

You can use Z_o_o_m uploader at the end of this week in the new updates of them.
Jdownder 2 supported Subyshare.com already http://jdownloader.org/download/offline

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

That's good to hear and one less thing to worry about, thanks.
I just tested it and FTP uploading does work(even if I'm not using filezilla), even without a premium account.

Where's the news tab you're talking about or is it gone now? I can't see it anywhere on the website.

Also, I see there's a "Need more?" link next to the 49GB limit that redirect to the contact us form. Is it possible to increase it even without having to buy a premium account and what would be the condition that need to be met for it to happen?

And one last question, are there any plans to implement an API(Application programming interface) to access/control the data from our accounts without having to manually navigate using a web browser? This would make the life of people writing software/scripts that interacts with your website much easier.
Or if one already exist but is private, is there a way to gain access to it?

I hope this helps the board out, I really do. There are a great group of members here, and their contributions to our hobby is appreciated.

My issue is I held a K2S Premium account (and Ryushare before that) because it was required to share things on this board and I could easily find other content besides what could be found here on other sites. Mainstream things. The places I haunt for such things, SubyShare is nowhere to be found. Does anyone know of any?

You can PM me if you prefer. But I can't see going Premium now if I can only use it here or on other similar sites.

How long have they been around?

Someone just made me notice that the file limit for free registered users is only 100MB, is that a joke(and was it really that little earlier, I find it hard to believe I missed that)? I abandoned hosts because they were limited to only 200MB which I didn't want to have to deal with the trouble of having that many parts.

If this doesn't change when the free 1 month premium runs out, I'll have to seriously consider to stop posting(not wanting to sound so dramatic here) since I was already dreading having to manipulate 4 times less links manually.

To sbadmin,
again....40GB a day is still not that great. Can you do at least 80GB? ryushare gave us 88GB a day.
there are many extreme collector here in this board. I wouldn't jump on board until this low daily download is solved.

Oh my.. I've chosen SUBYSHARE.co cause it's not mainstream, therefore, might stray away a little from that stopfilelockers group (it's paygates won't be targeted as much as k2s). But seeing it used here in akiba, made me worried. The "rats" in here now see a fresh cheeze to bite on. At lease don't use SUBYSHARE to upload JI stuff... it might live out a bit longer.

well yes.
100MB is really really small.
For the same reason i've ditched zippyhsare & co - just because the won't allow sizes larger than 200MB.
it's just a mess to split a 10GB HD-Movie into 50 Parts :/

50GB is just barely enough to upload a larger anime-series.
e.g. i'm uploading (for another forum) samurai girls 1 and 2 in FHD - they have 45GB in size. So after that the normal non-prem. acc is filled up. (and i probably don't generate enough sales to get enough money to maintain the prem. acc :/)
moreover this are 44 Eps. The MiniOVAs splittet in about 3 Parts, the rest in about 15 - thus making it 420 files :/

though the speed for free & registered people sure are nice :)

@sbadmin @lannalen
What about rising the limit for registered users to 1GB? If possible.
as i've seen you can download every size, even as guest right?
