Sounds like QA to me. Keep up the good work.Great discussion, guys! FWIW, I've been doing some follow-on work with Bonekace's subtitle files. I have extensive experience editing written English, so I wanted to remove the romaji text (too much clutter on the screen) and rework the English subs so that the conversations are more natural, there are no misspellings, and so that the English grammar/punctuation is of the highest quality. At this point, I have finished the work on Akiho Yoshizawa SOE-936 - Elder Brother's Wife, and I'm half-way through Kirara Asuka SNIS-191 - Beautiful Career Woman. Considering that Bonekace has done all the translation and timing work on these files, I have requested his permission to upload the reworked English-only files to the forum. I haven't heard back from him yet, but I will be happy to contribute to the effort to develop more high quality subtitle files whenever I can find the time.
How is the translation initiated? In case of music it is there no matter if Apple sells it or not. But subtitles are produced if there is a demand or - in case of other fan subs - if the fan sub group feels like they want to sub it.As far as moving this effort ahead is concerned, the reader stats on this forum suggest that there is a great deal of interest in subtitled JAV; however, there is very little interest from the vast majority of these lurkers in doing anything other than downloading the finished subtitle files. If this is so, I suspect the best solution for the challenge of getting subtitle files translated & timed is to develop a micro-pay system that would allow folks to download a file for a very nominal amount ($1 might be appropriate). This is similar to Apple's strategy for downloading MP3 files, and it has been extraordinarily successful for Apple Inc. The problem is, someone would have to step up and be an "honest broker" in order to ensure individuals were appropriately compensated for their work on any particular file. This system would work especially well if there were a capability for users to rate the quality of each subtitle file, which would probably drive customers to the better translations.
Hi,Not sure of this site was mentioned seems legit downloaded one ASS file

I second all you say and did also edit some files to enhance /fix the english but for my own use at this point.Great discussion, guys! Another approach would be to set up an effort using Google docs or some similar document coordination/collaboration tool. By taking a collaborative approach to the work, individuals could contribute even small amounts of time, knowing that their contribution would help move each project through to conclusion. This would take a substantial degree of coordination, but it would allow those with lots of time and not much money to add value to the considerable effort involved in translating, editing, and time-coding a quality subtitle file. I would be more than happy to do my part editing the English language dialogue if folks on the forum are interested in moving in this direction and are willing to step up and contribute to the overall effort.
Thoughts/suggestions welcomed!
Android has also such a function. And even Skype will have that soon. I saw a video for the Google translator on Android as well as the online translation for Skype. And in both cases they showed the translation from English to German and from German to English. I guess I know why they have chosen that scenario:DUMB QUESTION:
does the iphone have a translator function? Has anybody tried using that?
I do not have iphone.[...]
DUMB QUESTION:
Mihiro is only seen briefly but the girl being mihiro is pretty too.
Here you are: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1660399/Bloody hell mate thanks for this, although slow in places, really enjoyed it, and the lead actress is stunning.
Just curious if anybody knows if this is just fiction or is it meant to give some insight into how the JAV industry operates?
I remember that someone wanted $10 per scene for the translation. But it wasn't jz00hj. $100 sounds somehow a lot.I talked to jz00hj about translating DVDES-786, since its scored so high on the community poll. He said it would cost 100 dollars to complete, not counting translating the dialog in the sex scenes. I've already sent him 20 dollars, and anyone else that would like to see this get done ought to contact him and send funds to his email, joseunitec@hotmail.com, within the next 15 days.

Here you are: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1660399/
There are some information in the user reviews.
Also this movie is fictional to some extend it bases also on some real experience of a JAV actress. I have to admit that I didn't watch the whole movies - only some parts. But I was somehow down afterwards. It was her decision to do all of that. She put all her priorities in her career. So it is hard to sympathise with her. But it is still sad how she looses all her loved ones one by one because of her career (means she loses the relationships - no one dies in that movie).cheers, interesting review. I was also struck at the lack of sleaze in the production ( although of course this can be a generalisation) of JAV.
I've seen some behind the scene doccies of western porn and it really turned my stomach.
Was also interested in the way the director told the girl to look into the camera happily, I think this highlighted another superior aspect of JAV in that they take the time to get the emotions of the girl right so she is comfortable and that comes through in her performance.
All in all an interesting film.
Thanks for the information. $6.67/h - okay, that is not so much.It takes us at least 15 hours to transcribe, translate and time one single 2-hr movie...
Lots of work...
Yea I was expecting the "hard lesson" at the end of the movie, however I thought it was less harsh than what you would find from a western perspective in porn where the star of the movie would probably end up on drugs or dead. Instead there was a slight message of empowerment where she rose above those who condemned her. Also this movie is fictional to some extend it bases also on some real experience of a JAV actress. I guess that also buries also the idea of everyone paying $1 or $2. First we need 90 to 180 members. And somehow I don't think that this will be possible.I agree that 1 or 2 dollars from everyone would be ideal, I just wanted to get the ball rolling on this one.
He didn't say how many hours it would take, just that he had of queue of other projects and would complete it around the end of January.
That's my fault. I initially pm'd the wrong code to him.$180 instead of $100 - ehm, okay. Seems it is more work than you first thought.
