Hey I actually tried to make a subtitle for this (see attached) using machine translation by transcribing the audio. I tested it out and had to watch the first mother-son's interview more than 5 times lol. It's no where near perfect but it's better than the subtitlecat one, you can understand about 50% of it. It seems subtitlecat's one is transcribed by machine too that's why it's jibberish. Some words like hazukashi were not transcribed, you need to know that it means "embarassed", it gets said a lot. Also I have no idea why it transcribed "mosquito" twice in the interview, hopefully someone who here knows?I have been looking for good (meaningful) subtitles for an old movie DVDMS-184 for several years. There are some in subtitlecat, but they don't make any sense. I would buy them, but I don't have the cards required to buy them. I know this is not a request, but if anyone has them, please post them here or privately.
Hey I changed my mind I'll add English sub instead of Chinese.Well, I don't read Chinese, so you can judge that better than me. You're welcome to post whatever you like, and I'll gladly merge them in.
Of course, anyone can do the same, since the tool is available on GitHub.
The differences could be as small as a byte - maybe even an invisible character, like a BOM or different style of newline. I perform an SHA-1 hash on the two files, and if there's any difference, I preserve both of them. In many cases, the difference will be more obvious. My tool doesn't really have a notion of what's a "significant" difference or not from a human perspective.

I just went through about 10+ duplicates in ABP folder and it seems to have a pattern. The smaller file is cut off at the end about 10-20 lines, so it is incomplete. The larger file is the complete file. The translation are the same, so you should delete the smaller file. Would be frustrating for the user every time to have subtitles stop near the end of movie.
One exception is ABP-004, the larger file have partial jibberish even though it's complete. The smaller file is good translation but incomplete. So keep them both. I have not checked other folders.
That'll be a great resource. I've attached 14 lesbian-themed subtitles which I've posted earlier, 13 of which I made, and one I found. I'm pretty picky about quality myself, so I think they'll qualify.I should mention that I'm in the process of compiling an archive of "good" English subtitle files. "Good" meaning either pro translations or well cleaned autosubs. Currently I have ~120 in the archive. That is based on going through about 2/3's of my own sub files. But I intend to expand the archive beyond what I currently have. If anyone else has already compiled such an archive let me know.
I'll post it up here when it reaches a certain critical mass.
Ah yea, totally understand. I just thought you are good with code, and could just run through a code to delete the smaller duplicate. No problems if you can't and if it takes too much time don't worry. While I appreciate the feedback, I'm not sure how you're expecting me to do that for the approximate 4K+ subtitles that are alternate versions for the same movie. This is an automated process, so I can't just arbitrarily pick the larger version, as you pointed out, since it might be worse than the smaller one. And of course, I could only really judge the ~500 English files in this category.
There are also some examples of people releasing part A & B subtitles. Unfortunately, this impossible to detect and distinguish between incomplete versions, and semantically, it was too difficult to preserve that. So, for scenarios like this, I think the safest policy is to delete only exact duplicates. I understand that people may need to look through multiple files, and there's no guarantee of quality or completeness, but I just don't have the time or ability to go though and clean up the entire collection by hand.
Here's version using openai whisper. It translated better. However near the end of part one and end of part two it stops translating. It also uses fillers when cannot detect voice properly.Hey I actually tried to make a subtitle for this (see attached) using machine translation by transcribing the audio. In regard to the Japanese captions on the video, you can simply use your phone's app "google translate"'s camera feature and point it at the video.
If you like the result, you can also make your own subtitle using this method for other videos. It's done using "Subtitle Edit".
Did the girl have small breasts? In Japanese, "mosquito bites" is an idiom for small breasts. Also I have no idea why it transcribed "mosquito" twice in the interview, hopefully someone who here knows?
Nah, it's a MILF, no small breast. How about rice field? I see that sometime. And teeth.Did the girl have small breasts? In Japanese, "mosquito bites" is an idiom for small breasts.

Te agradezco mucho que hayas compartido los subtítulos, muchas gracias por tu esfuerzoSerá un gran recurso. Adjunté 14 subtítulos con temas lésbicos que publiqué anteriormente, 13 de los cuales hice y uno que encontré. Soy bastante exigente con la calidad, así que creo que calificarán.

Although I don't know what rice field means, I do remember it coming up before. Perhaps it means "sex" like making love? Or maybe something related to the female body? Or maybe the guy 'cumming or about to cum'? I don't really know.Nah, it's a MILF, no small breast. How about rice field? I see that sometime. And teeth.
