I'm puzzled by the JAV Mom vs Stepmom thing. Is stepmom-son thing really incest? Or do the "JAV studios" think that their videos won't sell with older MILFs? In my opinion the "Studios" should go back to casting younger looking dudes and give the older chicks a chance to be Moms. I'd like to hear all of your opinions.
My understanding is that there are legal/government concerns that have resulted in a switch away from blood incest and towards non-blood (and thus not real incest) in JAV.
It's obviously not set in stone, but does seem to be influencing/steering the content creators toward the milder form.
A similar thing happened in the US during the 80s. The original Taboo (starring the legendary Kay Parker with her pendulous rack and yummy, 70s era jungle muff as a mother who loved her son) and it's first few sequels were hugely popular. As were the Greenleaf / Liverpool press mother/son paperbacks from authors like Kathy Andrews, Kathy Harris, Todd Harris, Paul Gable, Tom Allison, Et. al. They were wildly popular BECAUSE they were TABOO and forbidden. The demand for such media was huge!
Then...came the infamous Meese Commission.
It falsely tried to form a causal link between certain themes /content in media and criminal behavior in real life.
As a result, "moms" became "step-moms" in movies and certain types of books stopped being produced altogether.
I don't believe the actual laws changed all that dramatically, but the threat of the all-powerful/all-intrusive government coming down on them surely had a immediate dampening impact on what could be produced and sold.
The stories quickly lost their spicy appeal, and the producers switched to tamer/lamer media that emphasized visual stunts, like bigger, faker boobs...and visual flash over story became the norm.
However....as with any forbidden pleasure, killing SUPPLY only increases DEMAND. So, those of us who still wanted more flavorful content were forced to look elsewhere. I, personally, looked at countless Times Square area porn shops in the early 90s in search of the unHoly mother-son grail.....to no avail.
Thankfully, as computer/internet became more effective and readily available, JAV material with mother/son themes (like Rocket, Venus, OKSN, etc) started making their way into our homes via the dirty world wide web. We enjoyed almost two decades of stronger, more exciting product.
Now....the just as it did in the late 80s USA, the puritanical mind virus that makes assholes desire to sanitize and censor has landed in Japan. It's impacting us in real time.
Thankfully, many of us have TBs and TBs and TBs of older content to enjoy, should the production ever fully dry up.
And...not to worry. If JAV completely bans our fav themes, the smarter producers will simply move to a different country that is not yet infected by the fun killing mind virus.
Proof of that is in the history.
If you'd have told me in 1985 that I would one day LOVE porn produced in Japan, I'd have thought you were crazy.
Yet...here were are...and here I am...typing about that very love.
Please forgive this overly lengthy, surely boring post. I had some experiences this week that reminded me of the days when I had, literally, hundreds of the Greenleaf type physical paperbacks that I had purchased for $1 each...but could easily sell for 40 times that now, if I hadn't purged most of my collection in the mid-90s.
